plannerd things i like about seoul: transit system

transit card: easy to use, easy to upload. also have little keychains you can attach to your phone that are shaped like little animals or whatnot that also serve as a transit car. can also have it read your credit card. free bus rides for seniors. can also use the money loaded on your transit card to pay for taxis and at convenience stores.

transit system: clean and easy to use. goes all the way to the suburbs hours away from seoul.

about a bajillion buses of different style and distance between stops to take you all over the seoul metropolitan area.

the subways stops have easy to read maps of all the subways exits (often up to 11). there is also a digital touch screen map that you can search where banks, stores etc are in the area and also where all the stops are. there is also designated seating for handicapped, seniors and pregnant women that people will not sit in even if the subway is crowdedalso not sure if these glass walls were put in to increase the capacity of subway platforms or do to the incredibly high suicide rate in korea (suicide is the leading cause of death for people in their 20’s and 30’s) but i think that they are nice nonetheless

yay for transit!
