(this are jeongas. which are sort of pavilion like spaces that were built by poets in the mountains to read, write poetry and drink makgolli with their friends. these covered platform seating areas are still really popular with koreans in public spaces and you can seem them in parks, near rivers or in cities outside of seoul.)
